Crossroads of Michigan – Parenting Classes
They say no amount of training will ever prepare you for being a parent. This is true, even for the most experienced parents. There is always something to learn or a new technique to help ease the transition of a new baby.
Sometimes just being in the company of others who are sharing similar experiences helps. That is why Crossroads of Michigan offers supportive programming through parenting classes. The goal of this program is to help parents provide healthy, caring, nurturing environments for children. This is accomplished in a classroom style setting where skills and tools are the focus of discussion in a variety of topics. Material assistance is also provided through clothing, diapers, and formula. The Parent Support Program is conducted every Tuesday at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Classes are held at the Crossroads of Michigan office at 2424 W. Grand Blvd, Detroit, Michigan. For more information about the classes or to attend, please visit the Crossroads of Michigan website at www.crossroadsofmichigan.org. You can also contact the Parenting Support Program Coordinator, Tammy Shannon, at 313-831-2787.
